well hey y'all
Texas is beautiful I think.  Just kidding.  It's beautiful here. It was just snowing and raining all week.  love it here it's incredible. The people are crazy, humble, and random but I love em.  Talk to you all next week.

Well Texas is amazing I love it.  My comp is a big sexy white boy haha.  We don't have any Hispanic elders.  Guess who's got a baptismal date on the 25th?  Her name is Christina and she is sooooo amazing and prepared and I love the work.  This is where I belong and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else!

This is my address: OK dad look up Corinthians 14:34 and 35 - ha ha
It's actually really cold here.  The humidity makes it way worse than I thought and yes it did snow last week for a couple minutes.   I love you all.  I don't have very much time.

E-mail from mission president with pictures from the Houston East Mission Home - January 7, 2015

Your Missionary has arrived safely to T.H.E. Mission! Upon arrival we met your missionary at the airport and took them directly to the mission home where they were fed Texas Bar-b-que. Individual interviews were conducted by President Drake That evening they were invited to share their testimonies. The following morning was focused on training after which they met their new companion and were transported to their area of service. They are now out diligently searching for our Heavenly Father's children and doing the work of the Lord. Thank you for sending your daughters and sons to us, they have added great strength to our small army here in the Texas Houston East Mission. We love them and are so grateful to have them with us. You will find attached a picture of your newly arrived missionary with Sister Drake and myself as well as their arriving group and Trainer.

We are writing to confirm your e-mail address. We use this method to keep you informed in case of hurricanes or in getting you other important information concerning T.H.E. Mission.
We are delighted that your Missionary is here and look forward to working with them.
Sincerely,
President and Sister Drake

Goals are something I never thought were very important.  I set them but never set them the right way.  I'm here to say if you want to achieve something you have to set goals - set goals for those goals and even goals on top of those goals. Set daily goals, weekly goals, monthly goals, yearly goals to achieve success in life. I've learned that setting and making goals is soooooooo important. I know it's the time of year that everyone is trying to start over again with a new year and achieve new things. Well here's my advice: set goals and you will achieve them.  I love you all and my goal for tomorrow is to invite ten people in the airport to hear the beautiful healing saving message of our Savior's love :)

I love you all  so much

Christmas, what's more exciting than Christmas  - oh wait, I know - sharing the  gospel! :)  It's been nice to have so many words of the prophets and apostles come into my life.  One of the biggest things I learned is atheists are pure people who have not found the right way to find Christ;  therefore, they don't believe. Second, in our lives we need to remember what is truly important, not the earthly things.  We need to remove all our garbage in our lives and become more like Christ because that is part of the plan of salvation - to come to earth be tested and tried and become more like Christ. Third part of becoming like Christ is turning away the natural man. The natural man looks inward when the man of God looks outward in time of need. Last of all, pray specifically each and every night and have faith that the Lord will answer your prayers.

Love,

Elder Enrique
P.S.  Mommy ILOVE YOU HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOMORROW

December 23, 2014

This is the time to remember the true gift, the gift of our Savior.  For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son.   In this beautiful time of year, remember the real gift - so simple and small was received in a manger but yet by small and simple things do great things come to pass, the Savior and Redeemer.  Merry Christmas just as the word states it, Christ should always come first for He truly was and is the ultimate gift.

OK the tie - the blue tie is the tie from Elder Sia.  The three flowers are for Momma, Tori, and Tess, my three biggest fans.  The largest one represents love ... mom, the second largest one is courage .... Tori, the small one is you Tessy  - for that one represents beauty.

I love you all sooooooo much.  You all mean the world to me and I have truly felt all your prayers.

I know I'll be able to talk to you in two days so I won't go too in depth.  Let's see, my Spanish is coming along so much.  I truly have been blessed  with so many gifts from the Lord.  I learn more about myself each and every day.  This week was  very interesting I have given three blessings. Maybe I have been given the gift of blessings I don't know,  but every time I give a blessing people say I have a gift but I just tell them that it's the Lord working through my hands, it has nothing to do with me. So, sad story but also a testimony of why I am here.  Two weeks ago and elder came and we ended up talking and I could tell something was wrong.  He told me his life story and told me he wasn't worthy to be here because of some past mistakes. I told him that through the atonement Christ could heal him but that he had to go through the right authority. The reason he didn't take care of it at home was because is father was the bishop and he didn't want to disappoint him. Anyway, he gets the opportunity to go home and turn his life around, but my side of the story is I received revelation for myself and know for a fact that the Lord will take care of him as long as he makes the right decisions in his life.  Keep him in your prayers because they are needed.   I can say that because he's no longer on mission.  I love you all sooooooo much.  Talk to you in 2 days!

Love, Elder Henrie
